Your Psychic in Canada: True Psychic Gifts

Here I’ve included books that I often recommend to my clients and students. In my opinion they represent the best of their genre.

Spiritualism

Edith Fairchild Holt

The Alphabet of God as Written Down by Edith Fairchild Holt, Unknown date of publication – estimated to be early 20th Century

“Great things come in small packages!” This book exemplifies that adage. Edith and Blanche are very close friends. Judging by the feel of this relationship there is more a feel of partnership between these two women than platonic friendship. When Blanche passes to the spirit world, inconsolable Edith seeks out a number of notably gifted mediums in the hopes that Blanche will pass messages along back to her from the spirit world, using the medium as the instrument. She does successfully establish an amazingly extensive communication with Blanche, furthermore Blanche takes advantage of the opportunity to give Edith lessons on how the spirit world functions in relationship to the earth plane. Edith writes them down and packages them in lesson format. The book is 74 lessons altogether.

Mrs. Cora L.V. Richmond

Mrs. Cora L.V. Richmond

There are a number of Cora’s works sampled through my site. The spirit guides who used Cora’s extraordinary gift pass along many lessons on spiritual healing and guidance, philosophical, anthropological, and theological instruction. Her books aren’t an easy read but are well worth the effort. You won’t find this quality of spiritual education and guidance anywhere else in print today.

Several of Cora’s books have been generously republished not for profit. What you pay for these books is printing costs plus shipping.

  • Life Work of Cora Richmond
  • Psychopathy
  • Spheres
  • My Experiences While Out of Body
  • The Soul in its Human Embodiments
  • A Discourse on the Immutable Decrees of God, and the Free Agency of Man
  • Is Materialization True?
  • The Symbol Series of Lectures

Dr. Carl Wickland

Dr. Wickland was a psychiatrist practicing in the early part of the 20th Century in Chicago and LA. He was married to a gifted medium and together they helped quite a number of people locked in insane asylums to be freed of the ignorant spirits inhabiting their auric fields. Both of Dr. Wickland’s books, Thirty Years Among the Dead, and Gateway of Understanding are available on the Internet in PDF file free of charge. I highly recommend you read these ground breaking texts.

Women’s Psyche/Soul

Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Women Who Run with the Wolves

Clarissa is a professional story-teller and Jungian Analyst. Her book is replete with fairy tales, myths and real stories about women that exemplify and highlight women’s journey to the sacred. If you really want to understand yourself as a woman (or you are a man trying to figure out what women really want) I’d highly recommend you take the time to read and reflect on Clarissa’s deeply intuitive recognition and understanding of the feminine soul/psyche.

Helen Luke

Another Jungian analyst who has written a couple of books on the feminine psyche which are also rich with insight.

Vicki Noble

The Motherpeace Tarot. Vicki is a brilliantly gifted psychic and feminist author with a focus on the Goddess. If you are planning to study the tarot from a feminine oriented perspective Vicki is the best.

Marion Woodman

Canadian Jungian analyst. Marion has focused on the feminine psyche throughout her long and distinguished career as an analyst and writer. She has specialized in woman’s soulful relationship to her body, with an emphasis on eating disorders. Marion knows the wounded feminine soul intimately and can speak to the wound and the healing eloquently and creatively.

Psychic Ability

There aren’t a lot of great books on psychic ability. I liked All Women are Psychics by Diane Stein which was rich with examples of women’s psychic gift in use.

The other book that I’ve found a helpful reference to have around on the whole subject of all things psychic is An Encyclopaedia of Psychic Science by Nandor Fodor.
